Scholarships are the best way to pay your tuition, and they also look good on your resume. Tech Talent South currently offers three partial scholarships, as described below.
Diversity and Veteran Scholarship: If you are a military veteran, belong to a minority group, or have a physical or learning disability, you are eligible for this scholarship.
Great Idea Scholarship: The Great Idea Scholarship is for anyone who stands out due to their ideas, and their passion for tech.

This plan is a good choice if you can afford to make a one-time payment covering your full cost of tuition before your course starts. If you choose this plan, you will get a 10 percent discount on any course.
Tech Talent South does not offer an income share agreement.
Although Tech Talent South doesn’t partner with any loan companies, students may seek out a private loan to pay for their course. Just make sure you understand the terms and conditions of the loan.
If you can’t afford a one-time payment but don’t want to take out a loan, this plan is for you. Tech Talent South offers two installment options: a four-month and a 12-month plan.
In each plan, you will be required to first pay an initial deposit. Then, you will repay the remainder of the tuition over the designated time period. In addition, you will get a five percent discount if you choose the four-month plan. If you want to pay in installments, the school will run a credit check first to make sure you qualify.
Tech Talent South does not accept the GI Bill. But, as mentioned above, it does offer the Diversity and Veteran Scholarship.
Tech Talent South offers respected courses in JavaScript, data science, and coding. All of these courses are meant for beginners, so you can choose whichever program interests you, regardless of your tech background.
Data science is the right path if you’re after a lucrative job opportunity. Tech Talent South’s part-time data science program is an in-depth exploration of the foundations of data science.
During the course of this program, you’ll take lessons in statistics, A/B testing, machine learning, deep learning, data with Python, and natural language processing. The curriculum will help you understand the current trends in data science and will leave you prepared for an entry-level job as a data scientist.
In this 10-week course, you will learn how to build single-page applications using JavaScript and the open-source React library. The course covers the basics of JavaScript and quickly moves on to advanced app development using software like JQuery, and Ajax techniques.
Coding is the key to technology, from web design to data management. We recommend this eight-week course if you want to learn how to create your own web applications. The program, which can be attended on a part-time or full-time basis, starts by teaching programming languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Then, you’ll learn how to integrate these languages with frameworks like Rails and Springboot. By the end of the course, you’ll learn about database-backed applications, and how to organize your code using Git and GitHub.
Tech Talent South is not difficult to get into. The training institute admits students based on their passion, interests, and career goals. It believes that with the right attitude, anyone can learn to code.
Tech Talent South does not provide official statistics on its acceptance rate. However, since it is intended for beginners, it is fair to say that it accepts most applicants.
Tech Talent South’s application process is very simple. It is meant to determine whether you are a good fit for the school. All you have to do is fill out an online application and complete a basic phone evaluation.
The Tech Talent South interview is meant to help the admissions team get to know you. The questions are not technical or difficult, so consider it more like a conversation rather than an interview. Below are some coding bootcamp interview questions you may be asked.
Getting acquainted with coding may help alleviate any fears you have about attending your first bootcamp. There are plenty of online resources you can visit to learn to code for free before your program begins. Check out websites like Udemy, edX, or Coursera for unpaid courses related to your area of interest.

The audacious training supersedes tradition education, which works best for me as a non-traditional student 60 plus. My take away from the 8-week training is that I am in the “know” on the express high-way of technology. Before attending TTS training, it was just a dream, now it is a reality, and it has allowed me to step up my own game as it relates to my own Content Building and Branding Business. Therefore, the TTS training polished my ability to have confidence in identifying my own leadership qualities when speaking with clients, networking, and engaging in technology conversations. I am still a work in progress. Nonetheless, I have obtained CSS HTML and UX Design skills and I continue to perfect the concepts in ways that I amaze myself.

I know my title reads Java boot camp but we didn’t just focus on Java. We learned to become full-stack developers. I started with no coding experience in my previous careers. I did allot of technical jobs. I jumped into this boot camp with The hopes of getting a great job right our of the boot camp. However, while doing the first day introductions, there were allot of people there with a few boot camps under their belts. This made me a bit nervous seeing as this was my first one. I did everything I could to absorb as much as my brain could possibly handle. I impressed my instructor with my dedication. Alas this wasn’t enough to land me an actual job. I was taught to use HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and Thymeleaf to make my apps and websites pretty. I was taught to use Spring Boot for Java as back-end programming. I learned how to create a Github profile and upload my Java projects. I was given the ability to create my own website. I fought to go to class everyday to learn for 3 months. It was an in person class from 8am-5pm. We all had to put our primary jobs on hold or cut back on the hours to be in the class. This is a major need to know before jumping into any boot camp. Have a savings that can hold you up for 3 months or at least a support system that can have you work some hours without drowning in debt. This may seem ridiculous or an outlandish tip. But I speak from experience, I no longer have a vehicle due to my lack of hours and lack of employment for 3 months. I had been struggling before the class. I did look at this class as a bright light to all the over whelming debt I had been consumed by. Realistically, some financial stability is key to be able to join any boot camp. Good luck.
And may the odds be ever in your Favor.

We were lucky to have such a dedicated staff and very attentive instructor. You can feel the passion he has for programming and learning. With this course, I wanted to grow my backend skills and learning and the focus on Java/Spring Boot was exactly what I needed.

Tech Talent South in New Orleans, LA was a perfect fit for my needs. Other programs in the city were just not an option due to the scheduling demands, and also tuition cost. I was working my regular full time job while attending, so having the option to attend the part time code immersion program was great. The instructor was an actual developer, and not just a teacher, so his real world insight was awesome. The instructor was very approachable, available, and eager to help. You could tell he really wanted you to understand before moving forward, instead of just blasting through the material. Probably the best aspect of this particular school, in New Orleans specifically was the local community development leader, Mary. She puts together tours of local tech companies, schedules guest speakers before class, and puts together events around town. These tours, speakers, and events were fantastic especially being that I am making a transition into tech from a completely different industry. The people I’ve met, and the advice that I received has been tremendous! This alone is worth attending the school. As far as the curriculum goes, I would only say that I would like to see the part time program be extended. It was an 8 week course, which I’m fine with, but given that class was only twice a week, I feel like if it was longer, that would give more time to dive into different subjects a little deeper. For anyone looking to attend their part time program, I would recommend finding your favorite resource to go in tandem with what you are covering in class. You do have homework while going through, which is helpful, but for me it helped to solidify things hearing the same things said a different way. Like all things in life, nothing is a proverbial golden ticket. Your success will ultimately come down to the work that you put in. There is no job guarantee after graduation. However, this shouldn’t hinder you, because the industry does hold bootcamp graduates in high esteem, because you come out of it with direct experience in the things that you will work with on the job. Do the work, attend the events, and network, and you will be successful. Like Grant Cardone says, “The only limit to the amount of success you have is the amount of action you take.” This program has been fantastic in my opinion I definitely recommend it to anyone looking into it in the New Orleans area.
